Seminyak, Bali

Seminyak is the dressed-up south: design hotels, beach clubs, restaurants and shops. A few kilometres from Canggu, but the mood is cocktail rather than laptop.

DPS is usually 40–75 minutes. Three to five nights if you want beach days and long evenings; for temples, leave early or move to Ubud.

The beach is wide, sunsets are the selling point, surf can be punchy. Beach clubs are smart-casual and city-priced.

North it blends into Canggu, south towards Kerobokan and Kuta. For quiet after 22:00, pick a villa on a back street, not the main strip.
