Munduk, Bali

Munduk is mountains and farming, not coast. You come for walks, waterfalls and cooler air after dense days in the south or Ubud.

From DPS it is 3–4 hours; from Ubud, less. Two or three nights are enough. It is not a whole-trip base if you also want ocean.

Evenings need a layer. Village infrastructure: fewer dinners, fewer ATMs. Use a local guide for waterfalls after rain.

It pairs after Ubud, before you drop back to Sanur or Canggu. It is not a comfortable day trip from Kuta.
